The historical gurudwaras of Bangladesh remained neglected for a long time. These Gurdwaras are in Dhaka, Chittagong and Maymen Singh. The buildings where Guru Granth Sahib is installed, are in dilapidated condition. When Sant Baba Sukha Singh Ji visited Calcutta in 2003, the Sikh sangat of the area requested Babaji to undertake the Kaar Sewa of these historical gurudwaras. It was by no means a small matter. It was fraught with problems both social and political. However, Baba Ji resolved to undertake the Kaar Sewa in Bangla Desh. Miraculously, all the obstacles gradually disappeared. The Kaar Sewa under the supervision of Baba Sukha Singh Ji is going on in these Gurdwaras:

GURUDWARAHARI GHAR SANGAT TOLA BANGLABAZAR, DHAKA

Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji stayed in this place for two years from 1566 to 1668. It was here that Guru Ji received the news of his son's birth and named him Gobind Rai, who later became the Tenth Guru - Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Two letters written by Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji were also discovered here. The Sangat was then called Hazoori Sangat or Hari Ghar and so the area has been named Sangat Tola. The three hundred years old building needs immediate attention for renovation. After overcoming initial difficulties. Decks have now been cleared for the construction of Gurudwara Sangat Tola. Babaji visited Bangla Desh in March 2006 in this connection and met the officials concerned there. Granthi Singhs and Ragi Singhs have also been sent to Bangla Desh to observe rehat maryada in the historical gurudwaras.

GURUDWARA SIKH TEMPLE CHOWK BAZAR CHITTAGONG

This place is related to the visit of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The official documents corroborate the truth of Guru Nanak's visit to this place. A plaque bears the following inscription: "Guru Nanak Building Foundation laid by K.C.D.E., E.S.G.C.I.C.C.E. Commissioner of Chittagong. This gurudwara and Gurdwara Patshahi Pehli Meymon Singh need repair and reconstruction.

SIKH RESEARCH CENTRE DHAKA

Dhaka University offers courses in Sikh religion and history. Students of the department frequently need information on Sikh religion and history for which they require books and other resources. Baba Hakim Singh, Deputy Chief of Sampardai Kaar Sewa, Sarhali went to Bangladesh in 2008. He was accompanied by S. Rai Singh, former Chief Secretary, U.P. Government, Narinder Singh of Mandi Gobindgarh and S. Hari Singh of Malaysia. Baba Hakim Singh Ji laid the foundation stone of the Sikh Research Centre at gurdwara Nanakshahi, Dhaka. The centre has been working since 2010 and meeting the needs of the students and researchers alike. Muslim boys and girls studying Sikh religion at Dhaka University avail the services offered by the centre. Prof. (Dr.) Nurul Islam has been appointed as director of the centre.
